DESCRIPTION:Join Professor Ruth Padel (Royal Literary Fund Fellow\, Magdalene College) for a talk on ‘Darwin\, Cambridge\, Poetry and maybe God’. \nThis talk will feature some poems taken from Darwin’s own words\, about Charles Darwin. Ruth is one of Darwin’s many great great grandchildren. She has written his biography in a sequence of poems that use his own writing and will address especially his time in Cambridge\, his marriage\, the death of his ten-year-old daughter\, and his changing attitude to religion. \nBenson Hall\, Magdalene College.
